Control order suspect ‘is on run’

October 16, 2006
“A terror suspect under a control order has escaped from a mental health unit and is on the run, the BBC has learned.

The man, accused by the authorities of wanting to go to Iraq to fight, has been missing for the past fortnight.”

Is it just me, or is anyone else thinking the same? If this bloke really want to go to Iraq to fight, let him go. His life expectancy will be greatly reduced and the burden on British tax payers will be greatly reduced. Give him a blank firing rifle so he doesn’t hurt anyone and let him get on with it.

Perhaps I’m missing something here? He’s in a mental health unit because he wants to go to Iraq, so why haven’t a large number of British soldiers been committed? It’s the obvious answer to conscientious objectors – a bit like Catch 22. If you want to go to war, you must be too mad to fight, so you have to stay at home.

Ah but you’ve only got part of the story. The mental health unit in question is commonly known as “The White House”…

Good Question Anonymous. Which side did he want to fight for? I bet my last penny its not the side you’re on STAN STILL. Its the opposition he’s most likely interested in fighting for.
